Spam Comments By Idiots
Okay, spam commenters, you’ve forced my hand. Now, I’m going to embarrass some of you. Well, one of you. I feel that since you’re trying to leave these little generic, idiotic tidbits on my blogs then I have every right to call you out on them. Let’s break it down!
The Idiocy of Spam Comments
I’m gonna’ cite a few here and show you why they aggravate the hell of out of me.
This little tidbit is from an online “author” who was trying to link his already spammy article directory submission to one of my blogs:
“I’ve been surfing online more than three hours today, yet I never found any interesting article like yours. It is pretty worth enough for me. In my opinion, if all website owners and bloggers made good content as you did, the internet will be much more useful than ever before.”
It just screams spam and also adds insult to injury. If you’ve been surfing the web that long and just came to my blog then it means I’m not doing real well in the search engine rankings. So, thanks. TRASH!
Here’s another one. I hate it. TRASH! If you notice below you’ll see the flattery and the offer to trade links-which I hate, but also that my site covers “a lot of the same subjects”. I’m pulling the bullshit card. My site covers 1 subject-Android apps.
“Hello! I know this is kinda off topic however I’d figured I’d ask. Would you be interested in trading links or maybe guest writing a blog post or vice-versa? My site covers a lot of the same subjects as yours and I feel we could greatly benefit from each other. If you are interested feel free to shoot me an email. I look forward to hearing from you! Superb blog by the way!”
Ok, here’s my last example. The guy or gal didn’t even look at my page. Hasn’t even been to it probably. This is straight automated spam. I have a subscription box on every page of the blog in question and can easily be followed Twitter, Facebook, Google + and LinkedIn. See below:
“Hi there! Do you use Twitter? I’d like to follow you if that would be okay. I’m definitely enjoying your blog and look forward to new updates.”
But my largest problem with all three of the spam comments above are that they are from the same person. Idiot.
Don’t Spam Comment Me!
There are millions of worthless blogs out there that people have created to put spam comments on for back links. There are even SEO improvement companies like Build My Rank (which really does work) that have thousands of legitimate sites that you can submit blurbs to in order to get really good back links for your site. So, why not use them. Why the hell take away from my breakfast time?
Spam comments aggravate me like my dog crapping indoors or my wife’s little disapproving click of her tongue. What’s the point of this rant? They all happen and I have to put up with it. I just wanted to list a couple of the ones that aggravated the shit out of me this morning.
